He started smiling at week 6, and he has been flashing me this precious look more and more each day. Once he catches my eye, he lights up! Its so much fun.

6 hours at 7 weeks
For his 7 week birthday, Ben decided to give me the gift of 6 hours of sleep (in a row). Thank you, Ben!
It happened to coincide with our first date night out, which was even better timing. It took Justin and I a bit longer to get out of the house this time around, as opposed to with Carlyle when we were out at week one having dinner and a glass of wine at Terellis (even if it was only for an hour). This time around has been an all-consuming experience, but I am confidant we will find our balance.
The sight of him all sprawled out in his crib without a blanket on made us laugh when we got home from our night out. He woke up shortly after this photo, and we fed him, tucked him in, and he slept til 4am again... yay!

"He seemed like he was sleepy." - said the babysitter
(I took this photo in the dark, so it has an eerie shade of red to it for some reason)

Swinging and Slinging
Mom caught on camera trying her hand at multitasking. I hope I make it look easy in this photo because it certainly is not. But I hope I am getting the hang of it!
Taking it one day at a time.
Just a SWINGIN'. . .
(it was 70 degrees outside, but she was so excited to find her hat and mittens from last winter)
Just a SLINGIN'. . .

Happy HallowBirthSary!
Although it was buried beneath Halloween and Carlyle's 2nd Birthday, Happy 6th Anniversary to us! I have a feeling it will take the backseat for a couple of years while we are raising babies. An event filled weekend for the Garitty's nonetheless... 2 Halloween Parties, Halloween night trick-or-treating, and an at-home birthday celebration complete with homemade cupcakes and a cake from Meme and PawPaw Clovis!

Her first time to actual enter and enjoy a bounce house. We had to lure her away with a cookie so we could go home.
Baking pumpkin "birthday party cupcakes" with Mommy and Meme.
Happy Birthday morning surprise!
A birthday Tinkerbell card that lights up and plays music. Carlyle dove into the bag of costumes that Meme brought and wouldn't take of Cinderella's dress even when we went out to dinner that night.
Thank you Meme and Paw Paw for my beautiful white chocolate cake!
Tinkerbell tinkering with the lawnmower.
Two-year olds in a bounce house at Halloween party #2, our playgroup party.
Carlyle came away with a busted lip, but she powered through it so she could keep jumping.

Dach, Nana, and Emmet joined us for a trick-or-treat stroll in the neighborhood on the 31st.
Give two, take one. At one house she said "trick or treat" and tried to dump out her entire pumpkin into their basket. She hasn't quite grasped the concept, but we enjoyed watching her do it her own way!
