Happy 4 Year Anniversary!

First came Tuberville. . .

Justin and I met 10 years ago, when Tommy Tuberville left Ole Miss to coach at Auburn. We met at the Auburn/Ole Miss game, which is this coming weekend!

Then came marriage. . .

Also the day of the Auburn/Ole Miss game (but unintentionally planned)

Then came Justin with the baby carriage . . .

What if baby girl arrives during the game?!
(also unintentionally planned, ha!)

Are we ready?

My response is, "We are as ready as we know how to be!". From this point on, it will be a "take it day-by-day" learning process. I can say that our bags are mostly packed for the hospital, the carseat is in the car, and I have the nursery as far as I'm going to take it. Almost everything in the nursery has our personal touch, whether handmade by my Mom or I OR refinished and built by Justin and I. We've had fun with it, and it was a great distraction during pregnancy! Some might say we went a little overboard with the DIY projects, but we must enjoy it!

The view when you walk in the door.

And turning to the right . . .

to the changing table Justin and I refinished (it was mine and my brothers') . . .

and the "growth tree" we made. Justin spotted it in the pet section of IKEA (its really a cat-scratcher turned wall art, ha!)

Flowers and leaves my Mom and I made over Labor Day week in Natchez.

Justin built and painted the corner shelves.

A mobile Justin and I made from an example on Martha Stewart.

Halloween is almost here . . .

And so is our little pumpkin! We are down to the single digit countdown... Nine days til the due date.

Yes, I painted a stork on our pumpkin!

The waiting game.

Did Bono deliver our baby?

No, but he put on quite a show! We went to the U2 concert Monday night with Corey and Jen and had a blast!

The new Cowboys Stadium

The stage and the effects were amazing!

Diapers and Wipers

The girls at Justin's office were SO generous to organize a baby shower for him. The theme was "diapers and wipers", and that is exactly what we got (along with several other sweet things).

The total tally:
Diapers = 600
Wipes = 2000

I think we are set! At least for a few months, right? I've read you go through 15 diapers per day in the beginning!

The cutest cake and yummm!

They organized a "guess what is in the diaper" game. This shot was priceless . . . Let's just hope he doesn't do this with the real thing!

Thanks so much for helping us prepare for Baby Girl!

3 Weeks Left (give or take)!

I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that baby girl could be here any minute. Its so unpredictable! So excited to meet her and nervous about our life changing, I think Justin and I are as ready as we can be! She is going to fill our lives with so much happiness and love. . . and lots of pretty tiny things to ooh and ahh over!

Like these hand made booties by ZuZu (my Mom's tentative grandmother name)!

And these precious clothes - and this is just what is hanging in the closet!

Date Night!

Justin has been asking me out on fairly regular dates lately - taking advantage of these last few weeks before baby girl is here! Last Thursday, he surprised me with tickets to see Mary Poppins at the Dallas Summer Musicals at Fairpark. We went early and spent time at the Texas State Fair. I'm such a sucker for theme parks as most of you know! This trip, however, did not involve any carnival rides for obvious reasons. And we decided to avoid this year's delicacy, the Fried Butter.

And a belly update for you!

- Big Tex -
A storm came through while we were in the park. Made for some beautiful skies and fun pictures with our new "Daddy" camera.
